This month’s coffee comes from Raul Flores’ La Productiva farm, located 1850m above sea level close to Ecuador's border. For years, Raul sold his beans blindly to green buyers in the nearby town of Jaen, never knowing their true potential. 

What sets Raul's coffee apart is the exceptional double fermentation process. Unlike conventionally washed coffees, Raul's beans undergo an extended fermentation period, creating a profile with depth and complexity. Look for vibrant notes of blackberry and tropical fruits in your cup, complemented by subtle hints of milk chocolate.

Our Story

Hi! My name is Eduardo Umaña.

I am a coffee entrepreneur from Colombia. I was inspired to start Origin Roasted because I simply couldn’t find any coffee in the U.S. that matched the taste of the coffee I purchased back home. The difference? Specialty coffee in producing countries is roasted while still freshly harvested, making a big difference in aroma and taste.

That revelation inspired Origin Roasted, our groundbreaking venture that's reshaping the coffee industry by roasting recently harvested coffee right at the origin, ensuring a fresher and fairer cup for all.
